There was someone shadowing my doctor and she was the only one to come into the office for the initial questions (after the nurse did her routine). The girl shadowing my doctor was very nice and considerate but it made zero sense to me as to why the doctor wouldn’t want to listen to all of my symptoms first hand? instead, the shadowing girl played “telephone” by communicating to the doctor for me.. and this was happening outside of the room I was waiting in so I have no idea if she communicated everything that was important to me. I waited in the room for the doctor to return and sure enough, not everything was communicated. I had told the original nurse and the shadowing girl that I was in too much pain to do a regular check up but the doctor still asked about it. The doctor seemed annoyed that I didn’t want to do a regular routine check up. But I told her that I was literally in pain just sitting there on the bed. if she would have told me that she strongly advised that I get one, then I would’ve. but she didn’t. The doctor also seemed annoyed that I had scheduled my appointment as a “check up” . It was brought up 3 or 4 times between the doctor and the doctors shadower that it shouldn’t have been booked as a “check up”. each time I told them I was sorry and that I made the appointment myself online and wasn’t sure what to characterize my appointment as. I started to feel uncomfortable with how many times they mentioned it. The doctor didn’t seem to want to chat with me about what I was dealing with or want to help me. I tried to ask her questions.. for example.. I asked if she thought I should be okay to go to work the next day being that my job requires a lot of waking and being in my feet and her response was “I’m not sure, it depends how you feel” I was so disappointed and to put the cherry on top her “goodbye” was colder than cold. Once she was finished she didn’t offer to answer any other questions and just said “Okay. Get. Dressed. Go out the door. Lobby is to the left.” Then they left. I was sitting there wondering is that it? I felt like the appointment got me absolutely no where and I felt completely uncared for. to top that off.. I had to call the office the next day to see if I could move my prescription to a different pharmacy because the original pharmacy didn’t have enough. The lady I spoke to was rude and short with me but said she’d call back to let me know if they could switch it. An hour after this, I sent a message on MyChart asking about moving my prescription and also inquiring about stronger pain meds because the pain medication I had gotten didn’t seem to be helping. I waited 4 hours and no response. so I called again. the gentleman I spoke to was also rude. he said yes we got your message and it looks like your prescription got transferred to Target and you need to call them to see if it’s ready. i also inquired to him about the message to my doctor he said “yes it looks like the doctor received your message and they will get back to you” guess what.. the office is now closed and no one has gotten back to me! your automated response says that you will get back to me in 4 business hours which would have been about 5pm(it’s 8 pm now and the office closes at 6). As you can imagine, I’m extremely frustrated at this point. I am just a girl who is in a lot of pain and also in fear not knowing what is going on with me. I hoped that going to the doctor would be reassuring and helpful in taking the next steps to figure out what I am dealing with. the doctor was anything but helpful and everything but warm and fuzzy. even the staff that I spoke to in the phone were rude! the only friendly person that seemed interested in helping me was the doctors shadower. I honestly have zero desire to go back to this clinic. I am so incredibly disappointed. I am so disappointed and so frustrated. I am sorry to say but I would not recommend my doctor or this clinic and I am not interested in making any more appointments with this clinic. by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.
